The IJES Reviewer Mentor Program (Poddies) is an innovative peer review initiative designed to strengthen the quality of manuscript evaluation while developing the next generation of scholars. Each reviewer pod brings together a section editor, experienced professionals, and student reviewers who work collaboratively through the peer review process, providing mentorship, hands-on training, and rigorous scientific evaluation. By combining expert oversight with structured mentorship, the program enhances reviewer recruitment, promotes scholarly development, and ensures a sustainable, high-quality peer review system for the journal.
