Effectiveness of Exercise-Based Rehabilitation in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

The paper is a comprehensive meta-analysis that evaluated 11 clinical studies, including 7 randomized controlled trials involving 2,276 participants, to determine whether structured exercise helps manage Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The study found that structured exercise programs—including aerobic training, resistance exercise, Graded Exercise Therapy, and mind-body therapies—have success in lowering fatigue both in the short term, with significant reductions in fatigue levels immediately following the intervention, and in providing medium-term relief.
